"Photography is the art and technique to capture a moment, which actually never existed". With this statement Tim Hendrics, born in 1979, describes his passion to work with light. After finishing his study of sport science he made the entry to the extreme sport industry and since then he works as a designer and professional photographer in this genre.
Tim experiments in various photographic areas. He does product- as portrait shootings and he is working with analog medium format cameras. But his passion is sport photography!
He spent his young days on north- and east sea and the ocean became more and more his center of life. He started early to experiment in this element and destroyed the equipment several times. After a long break, when he emulated his active sport success, he returned to photography during a video production. When the first DSLRs hit the market he bought new equipment.
Reams of trips around the globe left permanent impressions to him and offered perfect conditions to develop his photographic abilities. In 2006 he joined a kite trip of friends in south africa as photographer. Straight away he started publishing in european magazines and Gaastra (Wind- & Kitesurf Company) used the shots for worldwide marketing.
Tim is still into water sports, which is an important fact from his point of view to work with athletes professionally. He is looking for extreme working environments, a matter of fact the viewer can see on the pictures. To get the perfect light he accepts inconvenient situations and times!
